E.6- JABA in one take- When caregiver preference does not match child preference...

Hey there behaviorists!

Listen below to the new episode of JABA in one take. This is the series where we break down a paper from JABA so that you, the research-focused practitioner can keep up with current research literature.

This is one of those articles that made me sit back and pause. These authors created a great experimental analysis of child preference for various social negative reinforcers (escape) using the concurrent chains arrangement. However, the real crux of their article was the comparison of preference between child and caregiver. By using videos to inform the caregivers of their decisions, all caregivers selected treatments that did not match the child and was the least preferred treatment option by the child.
